She enjoys playing with her children and many nieces and nephews. Being a kid at heart, she loves bowling, skating and playing laser tag although she sucks at all of them. She has an old soul and lives in a musical past. Her crazy friends keep her grounded and focused just knowing she's not as crazy as them.

why is everybody crazy?!?

Why is everybody crazy in this damn book! In my last review i said Michelle needed to get a clue.. but naw her azz need a strait jacket. Her story threw me for a loop. Lol tiffany still a thirt bucket! Poor tamia everybody is coming for her & blaming her for their wrongdoings. She slick crazy tho so they better watch out. I hope tamia entertain brandon for a min because Rashard confused dumb azz was gettin on my nerves. Rashard is walking contradiction.. for someone who is smart really is dumb af! Boy get a DNA test while claiming somebody baby. Candy is a ride or die chick! Twan & Dre.. no words smh. I hope Amere kill lisa azz for playing him. Everyone is just connected I see. I gave this book 4 stars because many parts was just unrealistic & half the book just repeated things that happen in book 1. Didnt need that, but since i like many characters, i still liked the book just wished it didn't repeat things. Looking forward to part 3! which i hope is the last one.

omg this book is off the chains i love this series i couldnt put it down left me with my mouth hanging down i need part 3 this is crazy i cant believe it ended like that i hope Tamia and Candy, and Rashard get through all this crazy stuff i mean i hope they survive whats about to go down and i hope they find out who is actually behind now trying to hurt them Andre, Michelle, Tiffany, Bo, and Armani's Mother OMG and Dont Forget Lisa getting back at the one that anything to do with the baby dying and dont forget that she wasnt Amere's Daughter crazy s*** GREAT BOOK GOD BLESS READY FOR PART 3

About the Author
I applied for the Japanese MEXT scholarship in the spring of 2008 and in April 2009 I was in Japan enjoying my first sakura (cherry blossoms) season. Living my dream felt like an illusion in the beginning and it was hard to accept that I was really in Japan. Little by little, I made friends, I started going around the country and interacted with many Japanese people. Shortly afterwards I entered a double master program within my university, started working part time and enjoyed travelling around Japan and Asia. Life couldn’t have been better and I loved every bit of it. Now I am writing these book series about my Japanese experience with the hope that you will also be inspired towards accomplishing your dream of not only visiting Japan but really experiencing this amazing country’s cool culture.

If you have a love for Japan and even more if you wish to go and study there then this is the book for you. The Japanese government offers MEXT scholarships (Monobukagakusho Scholar ship offered by the Ministry of Education ,sport science and technology in Japan) Theses are at different levels going up to Masters and Doctorate degrees in fact there are seven different types. The author emphasis openness to change and a love for Japan .She also puts forward the important point of Japanese language proficiency before coming to Japan though some lectures and courses are in English. She recommends that you study Japanese daily even in times of relaxation and cultural assimilation. There is an excellent useful vocabulary at the end of the book to help.

Choosing and University and getting the right supervisor and professor are all covered. She points out that the authorities want you to succeed .She emphasises the Japanese understanding of 'ornotenashi' or hospitality and that Japanese are not talkative but want you to like their country. They expect students to choose a field of study and human resources are particularly important. Japanese people think about the other persons feelings and are considerate. They also find it difficult to start a conversation with foreigners so a move from the student about aspects of Japanese life will be most welcome. She emphasises enjoying life in Japan while showing respect for Japanese tradition and culture. You should know where you would like to study (Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto etc.) and have definite plan of what you want to do .

The technical side is covered as well as things like accommodation and interviews for scholarships. She even mentions about bringing small traditional gifts from your country to your professor and teachers . The book is 50 pages long but contains a lot and were you thinking of studying in Japan and under the age of 35 is to be recommended. Ruxandra's love for the Japanese comes through and her respect for them.If you want to study in Japan catch the authors vision.

“Japanese MEXT Scholarship” by Ruxandra Filip is a comprehensive guide to applying for a government scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Cultures, Sports and Technology – MEXT for short. The scholarship’s success can be measured in the large number of students who attend Japan universities from 160 countries and regions around the world.
Ruxandra Filip had little to no support when she decided to get her degree in Japan. Not allowing that to dull her dream, she spent more than two years learning the Japanese language and preparing herself for her quest. “Japanese MEXT Scholarship” is a result of her dedication, diligence and determination, and proof that if you can dream it, you can do it.
Filip went to Japan as a student in 2009. Some of the information in her book is outdated, but envisioning the aging of her book, Filip included links to important locations that students following her can visit for up-to-date information.
Readers will find advice about choosing a university in Japan; selecting a supervisor; admission, exams and tests – and what to do if the MEXT application is not accepted.
Readers are also warned of common mistakes and other problems that might occur as an international student in another country including the onset of depression or the depletion of funds. Filip offers advice for these possible dilemmas.
Along with the firsthand account of her Japanese experience and helpful links, Filip includes a useful Japanese vocabulary. The last page ends where the reader’s choice begins: to go, or not to go? To dream, or not to dream?
As encouragement, Ruxandra Filip has written about imagining yourself in Japan eating onigiri (rice balls wrapped in seaweed) and waking up in Japan every morning with the option of new places to visit and the opportunity to meet other international students. This is a comprehensive, easy-to-read resource, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in pursuing a research scholarship in Japan through the MEXT program. The insider's view not only details the author's experience but is able to explore further contingencies through the author's connections with others who have gone through the MEXT program.

While My Japanese Experience might have benefitted from a little polish to tweak style and tone and limit repetition, the author's passion for the country of Japan is extremely clear and shines a light of interest even on the more technical aspects of the subject.

Sakaue Toshié was born on August 14, 1925, into a family of tenant farmers and day laborers in the hamlet of Kosugi. The world she entered was one of hard labor, poverty, dirt, disease, and frequent early death. By the 1970s, that rural world had changed almost beyond recognition. Toshié is the story of that extraordinary transformation as witnessed and experienced by Toshié herself. A sweeping social history of the Japanese countryside in its twentieth-century transition from "peasant" to "consumer" society, the book is also a richly textured account of the life of one village woman and her community caught up in the inexorable march of historical events.

Through the lens of Toshié's life, Simon Partner shows us the realities of rural Japanese life during the 1930s depression; daily existence under the wartime regime of "spiritual mobilization"; the land reform and its consequences during occupation; and the rapid emergence of a consumer culture against the background of agricultural mechanization during the 1950s and 1960s. In some ways representative and in other ways unique, Toshié's narrative raises questions about conventional frameworks of twentieth-century Japanese history, and about the place of individual agency and choice in an era often seen as dominated by the impersonal forces of modernity: technology, state power, and capitalism.

A well-written history of rural life in 20th century Japan

In his book "Toshie", Simon Partner provides a detailed account of village life throughout 20th century Japan. The historical and sociological information is carefully selected; each piece deepens the reader's understanding of the life of Toshie and her fellow villagers. Partner's observations on World War II, village life, and the rise of consumer culture in Japan are all welcome additions to the study of Japanese history. The real strength of the book, however, is Partner's vivid descriptions. From the beginning, one feels as if they are looking over the shoulder of the midwife during the birth of the protagonist, Toshie. These fine descriptions continue throughout the book and one can nearly breathe the fresh village air or sweat alongside the farmers and laborers as they toil into the night.
For anyone who is interested in Japanese history, village life, or simply looking for a good read, I highly reccomend this book.

Best Book on Village Life in Japan

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. I am a third generation Japanese American(sansei) born and raised in Hawaii. My grandparents came here from Niigata ken, which is the setting of the book, around the turn of the 20th century. They came as laborers to work in the sugar plantations. Therefore I found the details about village life in Niigata very relevant to their experiences in America.
I have read many accouns of life in the Japanese countryside through the years ("Shinohata", "Village Japan", and "A Far Valley" come to mind). But Partner's book is the best I have read because of the combination of historical and sociological data. It is also filled with sensitivity to the lives of Toshie and others in her village.
I recently visited Niigata for the first time. Of course, spending two days there as a tourist did not give me as much of an in-depth look as I would have liked. But I will go back again, partly because Partner's work has increased my level of awareness.

The sample is all you need to read. There is nothing ground breaking about this book,it just comes down to purchasing a vehicle and selling within a year to not loose money.

What I didn't like about it the most was how it was outdated

This book was ok in my opinion. What I didn't like about it the most was how it was outdated. On the section it mentions samples of cars to flip it refers to "as of 2010". If I'm paying $12.95, for 17 pages. I expect to have an updated and up to date version of this book. I do not recommend this book.
