WONDERFUL book, amazing practical tips!!

WONDERFUL!! As photographers, we love taking beautiful pictures, but in order to have a successful BUSINESS, we need to put these tips, steps, and ideas into place. A great resource for beginner photographers as well as those who have a successful business but need to tweak a few things to maximize the amount of money you could be making. Many of us are leaving money on the table!! My favorite thing about this book is all of the examples on WHAT to say to prospective clients and HOW to handle situations. It's an amazing book that actually gets you in the mind of a successful photographer who is writing this book as though she is your super-helpful friend!!! So excited about the ideas and possibilities I now see for my growing business. Thank you Lori for sharing your knowledge and expertise!

A must have for anyone trying to make a living with photography

Lori Nordstrom is the real deal. I've had the pleasure of purchasing her products for the last few years and to be honest, I pretty much buy anything she produces. Unlike some of the rock star photographers, who give you a vague idea of what you should do, Lori delves down into the day to day details of "how to" in the real world. She is so incredibly helpful and really gives you the sense that she is a genuine person who really wants to help you succeed. She's also one of the best marketers I've ever run across in the business! RUN don't walk to purchase this book.

With all the business information available for portrait photographers, I believe you can get so overwhelmed that you can't develop a sound system to keep you on track with your workflow, administration, and client communication. THIS book lays it out for you in a common sense format that makes sense in the real world! Lori has over 20 years of experience as a portrait photography business owner. I believe she truly operates out of her desire to help others around the mistakes that she made. She cuts to the quick about what will take time and practice to develop while at the same time giving tips to help ease some of the administration chaos that comes from trying to run your own business. Her philosophy is sound and pragmatic. I have followed her strategy, and I have increased my sales. The best part is that I love my job even more! She encourages client communication and person to person interaction which increases customer satisfaction and loyalty. This is really a must read for all portrait photographers that need a clear and simple way to approach their business.

Jim Parry is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Leeds University. He is former Head of the School of Philosophy at Leeds University and is co-series editor for the Routledge series Ethics and Sport.

Simon Robinson is Professor of Applied and Professional Ethics, Leeds Metropolitan University. He is also Hon. Fellow in Theology at the University of Leeds. Simon Robinson is former Anglican Chaplain to the University of Leeds.
