A MUST Read

Hello readers! I will tell you about Island Adventure! by Daniel Vellotti, my teacher. The book you are looking at is a chess novel about a boy named Joey and a girl named Kelly and their island adventure through lessons in chess. The book is great for all chess kids because it shows you important strategies such as a skewer, a pin, a sacrifice, a decoy, and a fork. The great part is he tells you about these strategies through stories and pictures so you understand them. The stories and recipes are magnificent so that your kids will love the book and the tasty treats. I hope you buy the book, and remember never get caught by a fork or a pin. And do not take the decoy and never get pinned in a skewer.

Have Fun Studying Chess and Learning Reading

I own this book. This is the best chess book for kids that I have.
We read it several times. After I read it to my 5 y old son, we did the chess puzzles.
Now my child is reading it to me. Sometimes he picks it up and reads it out loud, on his own.
We used it both to learn chess and learn reading.
And it is just fun. I own several other chess books, for adults or kids.
Mr Vellotti's book is the funnest.
